We are at the Expoagua in Chile on September 13, 2023
“NO HAY AGUA QUE PERDER” – “NO WATER TO LOSE” is the focus of the 3rd Expoagua in Santiago de Chile..
Chile is a signatory of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. To achieve the sixth goal of this agenda (SDG 6a) – to ensure the availability of water and sanitation for all – careful management of the precious resource of water, both drinking and sanitation, is required.
GWF is pleased to announce that we will be present at the third edition of #ExpoAgua in Santiago de Chile on September 13. There we will demonstrate our ability to measure the entire life cycle of water and present solutions to achieve the above goals.
Chile relies heavily on hydropower: More than 70 hydropower plants are already in operation today, providing more than 25% of the country’s required energy. Agriculture is responsible for around 70% of Chile’s total water consumption and thus offers one of the greatest potentials for optimizing this valuable resource. The mining industry, which accounts for about 15% of Chile’s GDP, also has a significant water demand in many parts of the mining processes and produces corresponding wastewater.
In the hydropower sector, GWF provides solutions for measuring water flow in open pipes or canals with the highest precision, giving utilities the ability to monitor turbine efficiency and potential pipe leaks or breaks. In agriculture, the focus is on reducing losses, whether from metered canals, pipelines, or water supply through agricultural networks. GWF provides solutions to measure water flow in open pipes or canals with the highest precision, giving utilities the ability to monitor turbine efficiency and potential pipe leaks or breaks. In mining, measuring and optimizing water consumption reduces the amount of wastewater and accordingly helps conserve this valuable resource. Again, GWF provides solutions and high-precision measurement systems that are reliable even in the harsh environments of this industry.
We are proud to support you in managing the valuable resource of water and look forward to seeing you at booth B7 at Expo Agua Santiago.
